Family Focus Ministry
Pastors Jesse & Brenda McNeil
“Every person is worth understanding!”

(1) Encourage him to get involved in tasks that will have a positive impact on his life. If you can’t think of anything, encourage him to find an outlet, such as helping with a sport’s team, assisting in a class at church, etc.

(2) Show appreciation for the things he does. Let him know how much you appreciate his earnings, his being the father of your children, and being your husband.

(3) Clearly communicate your needs. Tell him how to serve you so that he can succeed.

(4) Avoid criticism that belittles or degrades him. Nagging gets you nowhere in the long run…. “Listen, if your husband is not leading well, it’s probably because he’s insecure or unsure of what to do. Belittling and criticizing him only makes matters worse.”
